On 6th May, over 300 people including children from the Hindu community attended this event from 11am to 5pm at the Shaftesbury High School in brought of Harrow.
Event: - Hindus believe that the chanting of Gayatri Mantra inspires wisdom in us and consider it as divine gift for all humanity. The Mantra, not just for Hindus but for everyone, from the Rig Veda, says “May the divine light of the Supreme Being illuminate our intellect, to lead us along a path of righteousness”.
Visitors:-Nearly 300 families visited this event who ‘hop-on’ the WW1 Exhibition Bus. Most them watched the entire video (http://bit.ly/India1914_WW1_Bus).
‘Post cards’ to the Soldiers were distributed and encouraged to go home and visit the India1914 website as a family to thank and remember the sacrifice of the Indian solders and the entire generation the lived throughout the first great world war.
